I couldn't agree more. I was impressed with the GF1 and thought 'this is really going in the right direction' in terms of the design of the camera. The GF2 is about as ugly as you could get. Why they but that ghastly chrome 'accent' on the grip is anyone's guess. What has retro/disco design got to do with cameras? I cannot understand this obsession with grips in any case - no old film cameras have them and I never noticed myself dropping them. Even worse on some cameras is the usual 'grip' with a plastic leather-grained patch. That really makes me despair. Did I mention that I don't like grips?
