7D vs 550??

At the risk of being 'yelled at' - would you kindly post your comments on the pros / cons on buying the 7D vs the 550D?
I own the T2i/550... and LOVE it, and i've been to the comparisons portion of this site (as well as plenty of other pages.. and it's ALL great stuff.. i.e. LOVE this site!) but can not find much of a difference in the specs, aside from the AF stuff (not sure how that translates into the 'real world') and the custom white balance (Kelvin) settings.
STILL.. i hear / read so much about the 7D / 5D (i know . . full frame vs not.. etc) and not so much about the T2i.
I take a lot of photos, but also would like to do video, so what do you think?
Is there something i'm 'missing' here. . . as far as the 7D?
Qualifier: my motto has always been 'More gear than talent' . . . so i wouldn't want to 'miss out' on anything here. . .ha!
