D7000 + 18-200 Lens combo, any suggestions ?

I gave my D7000 Kit to my brother who was visiting me from India, so I am back in the market to buy the D7000 again. Amazon currently has a special offer in which they are discounting upto $400 off on select Nikon lens with the purchase of a Nikon DSLR.

I have shortlisted the D7000 body + 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S ED VR II which comes to $1702 after Free shipping and $250 off of the lens. I figured this is about $200 more than the D7000 kit but will provide me a better all around walking lens (18-200 vs 18-105).

Is this a good combo or am I overlooking any other better combo. Appreciate your suggestions and help.
