Has anyone used a Eye-Fi card in their iD MK IV? Can you still write to the CF card and the Eye-Fi card at the same time? How are the transfer speeds to your laptop? I have searched and can't find specs on transfer rates.

Anyone that has used this and can give me there feed back would be helpful.

Hi,

My name is Ziv Gillat, and I'm one of the Eye-Fi co-founders. I'm not 100% familiar with the 1DmkIV, but it IS Eye-Fi Connected, which means that it will stay on, as long as the card has to upload, and once the card is done, the camera will turn off.

In terms of combos to the CF + SD slot, I'm going to assume that it's just like my D300s. You should be able to shoot RAW to the CF slot, and JPG to the SD slot. RAW + JPG to both. failover, backup, etc...

In terms of specs:

12MBps write speeds (mega bytes per second)
12mbps transfer speeds (mega bits per second)

So if you have, say, a 3MB file, it'll take about 2 seconds. A 30MB file, 15-20 seconds.

Thx --

Ziv.
