SX130 jerky video and focus problems
Dec 24, 2010

Just got an SX130IS. I record video in HD mode, download to PC and then attempt playback. The video plays and the audio is fine but the video is jerky. It's like it pauses every few frames for a 1/2 a second.
I called Canon support and they blamed it on my CPU. I have a P4 2.4GHz with 2GB of RAM. The gentleman said that the manual states that a Core 2 Duo 1.66GHz or higher is needed for movies.
I can play any other movie just fine on my PC. I can create and play movies with my old A620 with no problems. Anyone else have an older computer and able to play videos taken with the SX130?
Also - I've noticed that when taking videos, the camera refocuses quite often. Is this normal?
I toyed with taking this back and getting a ZS7. What says the peanut gallery?
Thanks in advance for any replies!
