My Monfrotto was made in Italy but many of the electronic related products I own were made in China.

I don't think there's any way around buying items made in China and even when something says made in Germany, Japan, etc., chances are there are many of the internal parts made in China.

Some of the Chinese manufacturing companies are excellent. Some are very bad but there's nothing, as individuals, that we can do about it.

If we stopped buying products made in China we'd probably save a lot of money because we wouldn't be buying much.

I'm typing this on a laptop made in China, as are all laptops (even a Mac).

Last month my wife bought a new iron, a Rowenta (German company), sure enough it's made in China.
