New Laptop-Brand? Build?

I am in the market for a laptop and thought I should check for a photographers opinion on what brand and what essientals to build in to the unit? We will be (retired) traveling and have a 7D/70-300/17-55 & 10-22---and most enjoy landscape ----so
What Brand do you think is most friendly to photographers?
What Apps should be built in?
What software? (I have Adobe now at home)
I have tentatively settled on: Dell XPS-i5-500 GB@7200 RPM
