Recommend a "non-dslr" concert camera

My daughter would like to purchase a small camera, that would produce "decent" results at a concert. I expect the concert to be dark, with the only lighting from the stage. She needs a zoom, and decent high ISO performance.

I have a D7k, so I'm not too familiar with the smaller bodies.

I think she wants either a good point and shoot, or a compact zoom camera.

I'm looking the Nikon S8100.
What do you think?
