Buying new lenses
Dec 15, 2010

So I have read a lot on these forums that Olympus has stopped making entry level DSLRs. I currently have an E-520 with 14-42 and 40-150 lenses. Was thinking of buying the 35mm f/3.5 or wait a few months to scrounge up enough money to get the 50mm f/2 (I'm a grad student ). But seeing as I will never consider buying an E-5 any time in the next 2-3 years, and seeing how Olympus have stopped entry level cameras, is it worth investing in Olympus lenses ? And I also hear that Oly is gonna stop making 4/3rds lenses in favour of the micro 4/3rds.

The only reason I see for sticking with Olympus is some of the negative complaints I hear from friends with the 18-55 kit lenses on Nikon. In comparison, Oly I find the Oly kit lenses are quite good (especially after the tiny tweaks to the default E520 settings).
