CS3/Camera Raw books
Dec 10, 2010

Starting to decide its time to venture into shooting in RAW and do a little PP.

Considering I never did any PP before (aside from a little editing in iPhoto) I had no idea where to begin. I watched a 25 minute Camera RAW 101 for dummies which helped me understand a little how to start.

I have CS3 and I assume for now this is fine to work with.

What I dont know is if books on Photoshop CS3 cover Camera RAW also or do I need to start with a book specifically on Camera RAW (I plan to start small with little tweeks - to hue and contrast etc)?

I searched this site and seen recommendations for books by Scott Kelby, so I was looking at The Adobe Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers

Is this a good place to start will it cover the basics in RAW and give examples and how tos? I like to see examples and follow them, then translate them to my needs but I learn best by seeing and doing.

Also I see he has CS5 out too but I assume since I only have CS3 it is best to get the specific book for my version?
