Is LX5 hot pixel map service updateable?

Does anyone happen to know if the LX5 has an updateable hot pixel map?

I had the misfortune of purchasing a camera that has an annoying white dot appearing on all photos on the same exact place.

Our national service center here in Northern EU seems pretty clueless when I called them up. Gladly I caught the service person on the phone: results after 1.5 weeks of investigation were that "cannot reproduce error".

This was because he could not see the problem on the miniscule LCD of the camera, even though I had included a printout describing the exact location and the camera even had a few sample shots in it's memory.

Sounded like the guy did not even know what a hot pixel map is, so he will now proceed to replace the sensor. I wonder if this will be a mismatch to the factory's hot pixel map if he does not know how to update the map?
