D700 users - are you shooting 14 bit raw?

The oracle, Gordon B Good, showed recently in this thread

that the last 2 bits for a very high DR camera (K-5) contains no significant information and the results from the 12-bit file have the same usable information in shadows.

D700 has lesser DR than k-5. This makes 14 bit raw even less useful. I am curious if anyone here prefers to use the 14bit and carries a different opinion.

Being a new D700 user, I had it set to 14bit initially. After reading the thread I have moved back to 12.
