I can't say that either is better for you, but I can say that I do regret not shooting raw for some of the shots I only have JPEGs for. Colour-correction, exposure adjustment, and noise-reduction are vastly superior on raw files.

For the record, I've used Lightroom, ViewNX, CaptureNX, Bibble, Capture One Pro, and Aperture. My preference is, in order, Lightroom, Aperture, Capture One, Bibble, ViewNX, and lastly, CaptureNX. It's practically a toss-up between Aperture and Lightroom, but I use Lightroom.
