Bad AF K5 in dim light and tungsten light

I do have a callibrated camera lens combo (K5 plus Tamron 17-55. 2.8) that focusses perfect in good daylight even wide open .

However as soon as light gets less than very good and need to focus and flash the AF system goes wrong very consistently. Absolute front focussing all the time only to solve with smaller diafragma setting from 4.0 and up. (wich is logical as the space tollerance is bigger) I don't want a camera that has AF perfect in daylight but also in dimmer conditions.
ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS OR CLUES HERE ? ( try other lens ?)
