Anyone using the older "D" lenses

I'm sure someone must be using these autofocus lenses on the newer Digital bodies. What 'd like to know is how fast is the focusing and is it accurate on the new cameras.

I'm thinking of getting some primes to use, and they would be able to stop down on my older film cameras (FE). I know they would not autofocus though.
