Pocketwizard FlexTT5 Problems
Nov 24, 2010

Well, I've finally had it with these very expensive paper weights and I'm tired of camera equipment manufacturers using photographers to beta test their new products. When I first got my 3 TT5's I was dismayed at the problems I had, and that the PW folks finally admitted to, using them with Canon 580ex flashes. So, they came out with a shield that you must put on the flash in order to get any range out of these things, yet still not the range advertised. And, the units fire inconsistently. I got so tired of trying to work around all the problems using them on locations that I decided to just use them in the studio along with my Plus II's. They are not worth the plastic they are made of for studio triggers either. They misfire about 3 out of 10 shots, sometime more often than that. Don't waist your money on them.

“Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the

experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do
so.” -- Douglas Adams
