Tamrac Velocity 7x or 8x camera bag size wize help.

I've been to every store in my area and they all have the velocity 9x which I have tried as far as fit to see if it liked them, but the 9 is way tooo big for my needs. Here is the gear I plan to have in it:

Canon xti/400d
17-55 f2.8 IS
70-200 f4 L IS
580ex II

I'd like to leave the 17-55 attached to the body. Would all this fit in the 7 or would I be better off with the 8? any advice would be greatly appreciated, I hate ordering things online just to turn around and send them back!
