sRGB vs Adobe RGB in camera, when? why?

Don use Adobe rgb, unless you print your photos from a colour managed application like photoshop or Lightroom, the coulors of your pics will come out very dull. Likewise, If you send your photos to be printed to cheap mass lab, which cant read the colour profile, they will come out dull.

Bottom line: use srgb unless you and your printer know what they are doing and can read the color profile.

Finally: the colour profile setting in camera is only relevant if you shoot jpg. When you shoot raw the images will be profiled upon conversion on your computer. You then have to set the colour profile in the output dialogue of your raw converter
