How do you carry multiple lenses at events?

I will be photographing an event with that the mayor and governor will be attending. Mostly just shots of people at the podium and candids. I was thinking of one of the 2 options for lenses:

24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8 OR
28-200G and 50G 1.4

All lenses with the D3s body.

The issue is the 28-200 and 50 would fit in my suit pocket. The others would require me to carry a shoulder bag. This is a formal event with suit and tie so no backpacks allowed. Any ideas as to how to do this?
