Horizontally bands in DP1?

Hi, yesterday shooting with my DP1 in B&W jpeg discovered that the image appeared to me horizontally bands across the image. I never felt before. The battery was running low and when when I changed the other these bands would no longer appear.
Do you think it's problem was a sensor error or without further circumstantial problems?
