Portable Softbox. Lastolite or Other Brand?

I want to buy a portable softbox to use with a Canon 580EX flash, mainly for outdoor portrait work. The Lastolite Hot Shoe EZYBOX (24″x24″) gets good reviews.

The Lastolite seems pricey (I'm in Australia). Would a cheaper Chinese one be just as effective? Which other brands should I consider and why? Any other features/tips/traps for a relative newbie?

Also, I have a set of hotshoe mounted Flashwave III radio triggers which raise the height of the flash by about 2cm. Is this likely to prevent the flash head poking into the softbox?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
