50-200mm SWD lens

I've struggled with a 4--150mm kit lens on my E520 for two years now and am ready to upgrade to the Olympus 50-200mm SWD. Main purpose is to get great shots at my daughter's indoor volleyball matches. Depending strictly on ambient light will this lens do what I desire?
