Petition For Spot Focus on the 1DIV

After many discussions and tests by many users of the 1DIV, it's become apparent that users of the 1DIV want Spot Focus enabled on the camera via firmware release. It has been tested, and discovered by some, that Spot Focus enhances both the speed and accuracy of the 1DIV's AF in very low light. The problem is that this feature has been made inaccessible for all but a small handful of lenses.

Very simply, if you want want Canon to enable Spot Focus in their next firmware release for the 1DIV, please add your comment to this thread. Please also contact Canon Customer service and let them know.

This worked recently with the 5DII and certain video features that were added due to popular demand. Lets at least try to get Canon's attention, requesting that Spot Focus be enabled and employable with all lenses.
