RAW is not RAW anymore
Nov 13, 2010

RAW definition: RAW is not an abbreviation but literally means "raw" as in "unprocessed". A RAW file contains the original image information as it comes off the sensor before in-camera processing so you can do that processing afterwards on your PC with special software.

thats from Dpreview...

every camra brand has a different RAW..every model in a Brand has his own RAW..so how is RAW really RAW if there are so many different RAW files..

for example canon 60D has exactly the same sensor like canon 7D so why is the RAW file different?

ok some said about Nikon D7000 that the RAW file has NR in it..so its not really RAW

Advantage of RAW that you can pp by using photoshop etc..well some said that the NR which is applied to RAW file in Nikon D7000 can not be changed or removed by using editiong software

what do you think
