consider a 24L mk I - used

I think a used 24L f1.4 mk I would be the best choice...
for a fast prime on a crop body....

fast, accurate focus and very sharp ..especially for the cropped center of the lens.

look around for a used one ...where someone upgraded to the 24L mkII.
makes a very nice wide-normal on a crop camera..

worth the $$ stretch - IMO

the 35 f2 is good I hear..

I had a sigma and if you work with it constantly you CAN get some good shots ...focused.. but it was problematic for me..

a few trips back to sigma... and using special techniques like pulsing the single-shot focus... etc to find the correct focus..

I would skip that one

my 24L and 35L nail focus most of the time on 1DmkIII, 50D and 5D2 in low low light...

just my experiences

Tom
