I don't mean to be unkind....

...but some of those autumn photos make things look pretty gray and drab. Autumn is my favorite time of year and what I like to photograph are the fall colors at their peak (which was last week, more or less). Yes, I know the colors will be gone pretty soon here too.

We have mostly gold leaf colors -- the cottonwoods are spectacular.

In the foreground are ruins at the Kuaua Pueblo (the restoration has been a bit heavy-handed, I think) with the cottonwoods along the Rio Grande river behind, and the Sandia mountains further in the distance. Sandia peak is about 10,000 ft. (Ricoh CX1)

This is a view of the cottonwoods along the riverbank (not a Ricoh camera).
