Calibrating monitors - problems
Nov 6, 2010

Hi,

I have been trying for days to get my monitors calibrated correctly, but with problems.

I have external Iiyama HM903DT B (CRT) and MacBook Pro 15" late 2010, I am using Spyder 3 Elite with latest version 4.x on a latest Mac OSX.

Now calibration itself works and I generally get good results, but when I am editing photos I can clearly see the differences and it makes it almost impossible to do any work with it.

First of all on my CRT when I go to this page http://www.photofriday.com/calibrate.php I cannot distinguish between first 4 black rectangles A,B,C,D on my laptop LCD I can distinguish very easily between all of them.

The color also seems to be different between to displays, even on this calibration page the background has different gray color cast. Now I have calibrated both monitors, so I have no idea why it produces such different results !

I even tried the studio match mode, but didn't get any better results.

Anyone know what I should do to make it work ? Thanks !
