f/1.8 on m4/3, ASP-C, FF; are they the same?

OK, so I looked at the GH1 vs. the 5D and they are almost the same from ISO 100 -ISO 1600.

How could this be? Sensor technology shouldn't matter too much if what you say is true.

Just make sure you are comparing non-noise reduced images. This usually means RaW images. Also you should equalize he resolution as higher MP files will show more pixel noise but when sampled down to equal MPs will make a better comparison.

Edit: I guess you were talking about the original 5d. Why would technology advances nt apply? Of course thy do. Sensors tech is always getting better if tech is similar, sensor size makes a difference.
