f/1.8 on m4/3, ASP-C, FF; are they the same?

The 5d mk2 has a much higher resolution. This is why the photosite sizes are more comparable. That resolution advantage makes the noise smaller, and then the image is sampled down it averages the noise making it less apparent. Actually the 5d compares well with the d700, go check out the review.
