How to mount on foam core?
Nov 1, 2010

HI All,
I am hoping to get a little advice on how to mount a picture on foam core. I recently ordered several prints (posterjack.ca) and they want $21/photo to do foam core mounting for the particular size I ordered. I figure I could probably mount 4 or 5 pictures for $21 if I did it myself.
This is how I think I need to do it, please correct me if I am wrong:
Get roughly 1/4" thick posterboard or foam core (I assume anything similar will work?)
Spray the back of the picture with glue from an airsol can. I've heard draping the picture over rolled up newspaper works well for the glue application.
Place the picture on a piece of foam core (can I roll something over the picture to remove any air bubbles?
Let dry and trim with a ruler and razor blade
Any tips or corrections to the above would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark
