Just in terms of plain mathematics - Sigma outputs 2268 x 1512, while Canon 5D mk 2 does 5616 x 3744. That's 3,5 and 21 megapixels. Even if we consider that bayer output is 4 times worse, then 3.5 x 4 = 14

A couple of observations.

First, Gary was offering his opinion, so you don't have the option of believing him or not. You can either accept, or reject, an opinion.

Second, offering superior volume as proof of superior imaging? It's too early in the morning for me to come up with a snappy retort for that concept.
