D7000, 200-400 and some Birds
Oct 30, 2010

Just got my D7000 and thought I would take it out to shoot some birds and test it out. As some of you may know, I do mostly aviation photography but love shooting birds to get my skills up. To me, much more difficult than airplanes.
What i found is that the D7000 did a great job at the shots of the birds that weren't flying. The flying shots were tough and quite honestly didn't end up with many I really liked.
That may be in large part due to operator error and getting used to the camera and settings.
Here are some from the shoot. Mostly non-flying.
