Bamboo tablets - nibs?
Oct 24, 2010

I have been thinking about getting one of the Wacom Bamboo tablets (probably the Craft) but I've read alot about the nibs wearing out rapidly and being hard to find. I only found the nibs for a different Bamboo model on their website after some googling, it looks like they are backordered, and I never found them for sale anywhere else. I'd hate to buy something that will sit in the closet bec. I can't find a $5 part!!

I should add, I am left-handed/sort of ambidextrous, but never got the hang of using the mouse in my left hand, and am hoping the pen will make editing detail easier.

I don't want to spend $200, trying to keep it $100 or less.
So, I am wondering:

1) How quickly do you find the nibs wearing out?
2) I can't tell from the website whether it comes with any replacement nibs?

3) Do the nibs from the Intuos work in the Bamboo? It looks like the regular and felt nibs for those models are avail. elsewhere, and someone somewhere on the web said they do, but I'd appreciate any of your experience.

Thanks for any feedback.
