In desperate need for a 50mm lens

I'm in a desperate need for a 50mm lens and need some advise.

At this stage the x3 lenses I've been reviewing are:

Canon Normal EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Autofocus Lens
Carl Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 ZE Planar T* Manual Focus Lens for Canon EOS Cameras
Carl Zeiss 50mm f/2.0 Makro-Planar ZE Macro Lens f/ Canon EF Mount SLRs

However I'm reading mixed reviews about the value for money on the Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 ZE, which is why I've now been opting for the f/2.0 macro version instead?

The true purpose for this lens would mainly be for cinematography work, and some photography.

If there are any other options I should consider (be it older or newer lenses) I'd be more than happy for other suggestions.
