DPP - Is it just me?

I've been using DPP for many years and hate where the TOOL PALETTE wants to locate. Depending on my Monitor, it appears over various parts of the image being edited with XP, Vista, and Window's 7.

CPS's tells me "they are aware of the situation" and "They have no solution at this time".

This has made me begin to wonder if DPP is actually designed around Canon's OS for their cameras, rather than as a stand alone editing product? DPP is a wonderful bonus Canon gives us. They are not as wonderful with their updates. Look how many years it took them to have DPP recognize RAW files from the G9.

Yes, I'm in the Camp that finds DPP much better than ACR in converting Canon RAW, so ACR is not a solution for me.
