Aspect ratio

I have realised that my first few shots have been taken with 16:9 aspect ratio. I have now switched to 3:2. My concern is what will my photos shot at 16:9 look like when they come back from being developed.Will they simply have a border top/bottom or will they be auto cropped?Thanks.
