Did your m4/3rds camera replace your DSLR for casual shooting?
Oct 12, 2010

Hello, everyone, first post in this forum.

I already own Canon DSLR gear but i'm toying with the idea of getting a m4/3rds camera for street photography and casual shooting. I'd like to know your opinions esp. if you already own a DSLR.

I've done my homework and checked hundrends of samples of m4/3rds cameras and I'm ok with the quality even up to ISO 1600.

But, the single feature that is most important to my way of shooting is the response time of the cameras, handling and autofocus speed.

With the DSLR i'm used to surgically pick the split second I want for the picture. Is this possible with a m4/3rds? I'm ok even if it's possible 50% of the time. I totally reject the idea of a compact camera exactly for this reason. Even the G** series won't cut it for me.

I'm fine even if I need to use an external viewfinder and turn off the screen.

So, your opinions are welcome especially if you already own a DSLR.

THanks
Thanos.
