DxO lens softness correct vs sharpening

Hello All,

Just a wondering if DxO lens softness correction is anything special, compared to sharpening of other software, say lightroom for example.

I know DxO claims their Lens softness Correction is different, I am not sure if it is just marketing. so can someone with a lot of experience on DxO and other sooftware tell me what they think?
