Thanks for your comments, it helps ! Indeed more contrast and a more frank post-processing give more strength to my photos. I tried not to have too dark photos (at the cost of contrast) because the last B&W prints i did were too dark. The problem seems to come from my retouching lcd screen.

Skies are often hard to manage in term of lightening. For the memorial picture, I would have better to frame the photo without sky, as you have suggested.

Do you have any advice for the choice between exposure VS brightness? I have not clear idea when to use one and not the other. I m mostly using the first since it is a more photographic and intuitive setting.
