Made In Japan
Thanks to all of you that answered. The reason of my question is if the Thai factory is very good why the most advanced model (Pro model) from Nikon are made in Japan??
I think it's pretty common for a manufacturer to want to keep a closer eye on their flagship products. The Nikon name depends upon their reputation as a professional camera/lens maker.
In 2000 I purchased Volvo's top of the line sedan (an S80) and was surprised to learn it was one of the few cars still manufactured in Sweden (and that 80% of Volvo production was farmed out to Eastern European countries).
