This is the bag I am contemplating to buy. I want it to hold 7D with BG and attached 400mm f5.6, plus 430EX and Better beamer. A strictly birding bag so to say.
You have used it for a while. So what is your take on it?

I alreday have slingshot 300 and do not need a bigger bag per say. My basic need is to carry the 7D and 400 5.6 combo. Any other better alternatives are welcome.

I bought the Flipside 300 - after acquiring the 400mm 5.6. I found it a good bag for that lens and a couple of others but as othershave said the zip pocket on the one side was fairly useless. After using it for a little while I soon decided it was too small, or should I say just not adaptable enough and sold it on to buy the Lowepro Mini Trekker which I find is a much more useful bag, no heavier in itself (not sure but could be a little lighter) pockets and other storage area much more useful. The flipside design is a good one I'm sure for some, but I did not find it right for me.
