A/ Canon S95 Image Quality Setting:

RAW+JPEG-Large
JPEG ASPECT RATIO = 16:9

B/ Canon S95 CR2 RAW Conversion Workflow:

Phil Harvey ExifTool to convert CR2 to an S90 file

CS5, ACR settings:

WB=Auto
Exposure=0
Recovery=25
Fill Light=0
Blacks=1
Brightness=58
Contrast=45
Clarity=0
Vibrance=0
Saturation=0

C/ Observations:

• 16:9 JPEG aspect raio crops both horizontal and vertical

• ExifTool conversion softens/blurs image and creates other artifacts

• Better RAW conversion should result when Adobe supports S95

• 16:9 feature is ideal if you want to view images straight out of the camera on a 1920x1080 HDTV
