Buy for 1.6 crop, thinking about full frame... ?

I am planning to get some SLR kit.

I am thinking of buying the Canon EOS 7D (1.6 crop factor!!). But when buying the lenses, I want to keep in mind that I might upgrade the body to a full frame body in two or three years time. So I want to get a set of lenses that makes sense in light of that. But it gets tricky, because for instance, while a 24-70 2.8 could be a perfect walk around lens in a full frame, it might not be wide enough with the 1.6 crop.

Am I right with this line of thought?

I just don't want to eventually upgrade to a full frame and be stuck with EF-S lenses.

(by the way, I am looking for

  • a wide lens

  • a walk around

  • a fast prime

  • a tele
