I am getting kind of fed up

Hi @all,

I am using since quite some years a HP 8450 printer. For those of you who do not know this unit:

• Dye based A4 Printer

• True BW with 3 black inks (grey, middle grey and black)

My main focus is BW printing and as a matter of personal taste I prefer hi gloss paper on many, if not all, of my prints.

But I am getting fed up more and more:

Due to the Dye based inks I am more or less tied to HP paper. While the results are excellent, the limited choice of paper becomes more and more of a problem.

In addition I like A3 a lot...

So I am looking for a new printer, budget is tight als always...

As my main point is BW in Fine Art quality, I think I have only 2 (and - maybe - a half) choices:

Canon 9500
Epson 2880

(Half choice: get a used HP 9180)

Am I missing something?

What would be the best choice for my profile?
Is bronzing still an issue with pigment printers?
