E5 , or find a more future proof system ?
Sep 24, 2010

Im sure this is the 900th thread on this subject this week, but its important and i need advice.

I love olympus , i own a e-420 and some lenses (70-300 and 12-60) and i get AMAZING pictures. I love the specs on the e5 , and from what i have seen of the preview shots the ISO is a pretty big leap forward?(correct me if im wrong)

This is my situation , im just worried that the size of the sensor is going to limit these great lenses in the future if i continue to invest in them. They are great lenses and have amazing image quality , but the sensor seems like it has hit the ceiling of its possible performance.

If i want to start making money on my photography , would it be wise to switch to a system that is more future proof?

If i were to get a nikon d7000 , would there be a lense in nikons lineup that would match or be close to the performance of the 12-60 that olympus has?

Is there that big of a difference in ISO quality on nikon systems?

i do like tanking pictures in darker areas , but its not essential
