D7000 AFS Focus Speed Compared to D300?

Anyone have any idea how "fast" the D7000 can focus an AFS lens compared to the D300?

I've been told that the consumer level bodies (if the D7000 can be put in that category) won't focus an AFS lens as fast as one of the higher end bodies, like the D300 due to the D300 being able to supply more power to the AFS motor.

Is this true? And if so, any thoughts on how the D7000 might do in this regard?

Thinking of "downgrading" to the D7000 from my D300 to take advantage of the weight and size reduction.
