Rebadges and Rehashes - is this the best Leica could do?

I've been thinking - Photokina is once every other year, takes place on their home turf, and is this all that Leica could do? I've been hoping for a successor to the X1 but instead got marketing speak like hand-polished enamel that would be more in place at the Basel watch expo.

Rebadges of Panny cameras and cosmetic rehashes of older models? Am I the only one feeling let down here?
