Ziekos Battery grip for D90 (Battery Drain?)

Ok, before everyone start's flaming me about searching first, know this: this post is a result of what I found when searching! For those of you with the Ziekos grip, can you confirm two things for me:

1) Like the Nikon Grip, it uses one battery at a time as opposed to both in parallel (i.e. I could just install one battery to make things lighter!)

2) Is there or is there not a drastic drain on the batteries when the D90 is off .

The 2nd one is a biggie as it's what holding me back from getting a Ziekos grip. I don't want to go use my camera only to find that the grip caused the battery to be drained. Outside of that, it sounds like a great alternative to the Nikon grip.
