Sigma 120-300 OS

Sigma's newly announced 120-300/2.8 OS sure looks interesting.

I see that it has weather sealing, which is a first for Sigma and the OS looks competant too. Although it claimes prime lens optical ability, I wonder if it can match the current Canon primes for IQ?

As a budget offering, Sigma make some great lenses and some really unique offerings. But their QA and build can be dissapointing. I had several trials with the original non OS version and it was OK but I felt it's IQ was lacking and it's AF was unspectacular. I wouldn't mind renting one of these new versions to see if I like it or not....assuming Sigma can get this thing into production sometime this year!
