Good deals on last years models abound. Canon G11, S90. The tiny pocket size cameras are generally poor in low light conditions, the S90 is one of the very few exceptions.

Of the older cameras, the Nikon CP-990 is my favorite. Only 3mp, but they are good ones. Unfortunately, these cameras tend to be priced a little higher considering that they are almost 10 years old. My daughter still has mine, along with a DSLR, and she will not let it go.
